The time I spent in the chair as you did your work seemed to go by very fast. I never felt any pain while you were working on my teeth and any minor discomfort I may have had later on was quickly taken care of with Tylenol. You (and Britney!!) did a great job explaining everything you were going to do and you both were so patient when it came to answering any questions that I had. If there were any regrets to be had it would have to be that I didn’t have you do this work sooner. Everyone at Village Smiles made it so easy!!

I have to give a special thank you to Vivian for working so hard to get the most out of my bargain basement dental insurance. She really gave 100% when it came to helping me. I am so glad I listened to her when she spoke about how wonderful your work is. To say I appreciate all she did would be an understatement. Vivian you’re the best!!

Dorothy also deserves a big thank you. She’s always so cheerful and willing to chat when I come into the office and she always tries to make my appointments for after work so I don’t have to take time off. I know she also did a lot with Vivian when it came to my insurance coverage and I felt like I was being such a pain to both of them at times but neither Vivian or Dorothy gave up on me. It’s little things like that that mean so much.

Debbie does such a nice job when she does my cleanings and she told me I wouldn’t be disappointed if I had you fix my teeth. She was so right. It was Debbie that told me “when it comes to insurance and Schwed’s work Vivian knows what she is talking about” and it would be to my benefit to listen to her. I am so glad I listened!!! Thank you Debbie!!

If any of your other patients are apprehensive about having cosmetic dentistry done please feel free to use me as a referral. Your staff and your work will always get the highest recommendations from me. I just cannot get over how nice my teeth look and feel!!”

“When I started this life changing process, I was very hesitant about dentists, as I had had terrible experiences as a child. My teeth had always been an embarrassment to me, and I was very self-conscience of smiling. Starting at a very young age, my teeth caused me great pain, physically, as well as socially and emotionally. Braces were the first step. Then corrective gum surgery, more braces, and finally, six years into all of this, a bridge to fill in the “gaps.”

It wasn’t perfect, but better than what I had originally. But because of the design of the original bridge, my teeth appeared out of proportion and had a bluish tint from the metal that had been placed behind the front teeth. I am a teacher of young children, 6 and 7 year olds, who can be quite frank at times. I would inevitably be asked every year “ How come your teeth are blue?” I was truly mortified by this comment. The initial process to “fix” my teeth had been a painful process, scarring in many ways and had created an intense fear of dentists. If I was going to overcome this and finally have the smile that I had envisioned in my mind so many times, I needed to find a modern day miracle worker, someone who could help me not only aesthetically but emotionally as well. I found what I was looking for at Village Smiles.

I cannot say enough for the kind, generous and dedicated staff at Village Smiles, especially my new hero, Dr. Schwedfeger. He went above and beyond the call of duty and exceeded any expectation that I had set in my mind. Dr. Schwedfeger’s expertise and knowledge of current methods/practices in dentistry are evident in the quality of his work. His vision and craftsmanship are a talent that can only come from the passion that he obviously has for his profession and patients. He always made me feel comfortable, and was my cheerleader when I needed one most. My anxieties about my dental visits are, for the most part, gone. My smile…exquisite! I can’t stop smiling! People comment on how great my teeth look all of the time- Village Smiles has been highly recommended by me several times! They have turned a self-proclaimed “ugly duckling” into a beautiful, confident swan, and thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough.”
