Brittany – Dental Assistant

My name is Brittany. I started here in 2005.  I am a part-time assistant here and in school at MCC in the Hygiene program the rest of the time. I love it here – especially the people
I work with and the great patients! We have a lot of fun here. I have learned so
much in such a short period of time. I hope to stay here for many years and get
to know you, too! I got married 8/7/10 to David Messina! We live in Greece with our beloved
pugs, Gus and Lucy!

Denise – Dental Assistant

My name is Denise. I started here in 2004 but I have 20 years of experience. As a matter of fact,
Vivian (the receptionist) and I went to dental assisting school together. I am
married and have two children. I love the beautiful location of this practice.
The patients that I have met are really great and really seem to enjoy coming
here! I have learned different techniques from Dr. Schwedfeger and I am
impressed with his enthusiasm for dentistry. It is a really laidback, fun
atmosphere. The staff is great and have all been here forever. There is little
to no turnaround here. I am glad to have found this dental team and I’m proud to
be a part of it.

Dorothy – Business Manager

Hi! My name is Dorothy,
also known as Dee. I began my career with Dr. Schwedfeger in 1987 with a
background in insurance. I had no dental experience whatsoever. Thankfully, Dr.
Schwedfeger had enough faith in me to give me the opportunity to learn – and
that I have! I am now the Business Manager and I love being part of the “Village
Smiles Family”. I also have a wonderful family of my own: a great husband and
three grown children.

Vivian – Staff Manager

My name is Vivian. I have
been with Dr. Schwedfeger since 1985! I joke that that is half my life, but it
is! We are very close-knit and I can’t imagine doing anything else. He is like a
brother to me, and the girls here are awesome. Dr. Schwedfeger is very friendly,
approachable and a really nice guy. I have thought that since day one. I have
become very close to many of the patients and I find humor to put them at ease.
I started out as his assistant and after many titles and transitions, I am now
the Patient Care Coordinator. Dorothy and I have been here the longest. We sit
side-by-side every day at the front desk and are always here to greet you and
help with all your dental needs. She is one of my very best friends outside of
Village Smiles, too. Call for an appointment today! You will love this place – I
guarantee it!

Tammy- Dental Hygienist

Hello. My name is Tammy.
I am a Monroe Community College Graduate and have been practicing since the year
2000. I met Dr. Schwedfeger and his wonderful staff when I substituted back in
September of 2007. Since then, I have accepted a full-time position. I have had
the pleasure of meeting some of the patients and look forward to meeting all of
you!

Sue- Dental Assistant

My name is Sue and I am
thrilled to be working at Village Smiles. I job share with Brittany on the days
she is in school. I love assisting the Doctor and have met so many great
patients. The atmosphere here is fun and like a second family! I live in Bristol
with my husband, Steve, in a house we built! I have a daughter who lives out of
state. I have many interests and hobbies. I look forward to being a part of this
team for a long time!

Erica-Dental Hygienist

Hi
my name is Erica. I am a dental hygiene graduate of MCC, class of 2005. I love
what I do and everyone I work with! I have been here since May. I reside in
Fairport with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years and our new puppy named ‘Tugger’. He
is an adorable chocolate lab puppy. I love hanging out with family, snowmobiling
and cooking out. Any time spent with friends is also high on my list of likes! I
look forward to meeting you. The patients I have met so far have been awesome.
This is the most unique office I have ever worked in-great Dr. and wonderful
co-workers! I am happy to be part of it.
